Give joyfully
At North Star, we give joyfully through our tithe and generously above it through Kingdom Builders. Thank you for trusting God with your generosity.
How giving worksGod gets our first, not our leftovers
The tithe is the first 10% of what we earn, given back to God through our local church. It's our way of saying, “God, it was all Yours anyway, and we trust You with the rest.” Your tithe keeps ministry running here every single week.
“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops.”
Proverbs 3:9
Why set up a recurring gift
- First fruits. Your gift goes out on the day you choose, so God really does get your first.
- Simplicity. No wondering if you gave this month or mailing a check when you're out of town.
- No distractions. Skip the checkbook and be fully present in worship.
- Helping North Star. Online gifts mean less processing for our admin team.
Kingdom Builders
Local · Global · FutureKingdom Builders is North Star's strategic approach to funding outreach, missions and developing future leaders. Because of your generous above-the-tithe giving, lives are being changed as the lost are reached and the poor are served.
On Venmo, write “KB” or “Kingdom Builders” in the note so your gift goes to the right place.
What Kingdom Builders supports
Local
We meet real needs in our neighborhoods and across the Twin Cities, with partners like Anoka Community Mission and MN Adult & Teen Challenge. That means food, recovery, housing and practical help for people right here at home.
Global
We bring the Gospel, relief and hope to people we may never meet this side of heaven, with partners like Venture, Convoy of Hope and Priority One. That means disaster response, fighting trafficking and training Christian leaders around the world.
Future
We equip the next generation to live boldly for God. That means scholarships and transportation for kids and youth camp and Minnesota Youth Convention (MYC), Christian college scholarships, and students giving through Speed the Light.
What God did through you
“Your giving is not just a gift, it is a seed. And those seeds are producing real, lasting fruit.”
Pastor John & Shannon Velsor
Our year of the harvest
“Harvest only comes after faithful sowing. Kingdom Builders is how we sow together.”
Pastor John & Shannon Velsor

FAQ
How do I give?
Give online through Church Center or Venmo using the buttons on this page, or bring cash or a check to the offering on Sunday at 9:30 or 11:00 AM. Online gifts can be one-time or recurring.
Giving to Kingdom Builders on Venmo? Write “KB” or “Kingdom Builders” in the note. If it isn’t marked, it goes to the tithe.
How do I give in Church Center?
Log in with your phone number or email, select Give, choose your amount, designation and frequency, then enter your contact and bank or card information.
What's the difference between my tithe and Kingdom Builders?
Your tithe is obedient giving, and it keeps ministry running every week. Kingdom Builders is generosity above the tithe, so we can reach further.
What is a creative access country?
It's a place where openly practicing or sharing the Christian faith is restricted, so missionaries serve in unconventional ways. For their safety, we limit the details we share about their work.
Is my information safe?
Planning Center keeps your information secure and uses it only to process your donations. You can schedule, change or cancel a gift before its date, but not after it processes.
Who can I ask about giving?
We'd love to help. Call (763) 444-1109 or send us a note.
