Are you new to North Star? Whether it is your first time or you are still trying to decide if this is the right church for you, GPS is the perfect place to start!

GPS is held six times a year at Pastor John and Shannon's house, immediately following the 10:00 am service. It is a casual, "get to know you" type atmosphere where you can eat, relax and get to connect with others personally. You will have an opportunity to meet the staff, learn about the history, mission and structure of North Star, and ask any questions you may have. If you have kids, we would love to have them join us! There will be members of our children's ministry team on site to watch the kids. Dates and details for the next GPS will be announced.

If you are looking to get connected at North Star, or just want to meet new people, joining a community group is a great place to start! We have what is called a "free market" community group system, which means that we host a wide variety of groups that are interest based. We have social groups that include anything from watching football, to camping, to moms' nights out. In addition to social groups, we also have a variety of growth groups that include in-depth Bible studies and leadership development. No matter what your interests or hobbies are, there is a group for you!

Our groups meet for four months at a time, although many of them are re-occuring and decide to meet year round. All of our groups are "open groups" that anybody can join at any time (unless specifically noted otherwise). At the kick off of each new trimester, we host a community group fair after our Sunday morning service where you can explore all of the groups we have available and find more information about how you can get involved.

For complete list of our current groups, check out the Community Groups Page

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out volunteers into his harvest field." - Luke 10:2

The mission of North Star is to help people navigate life, through Christ. Our mission would be impossible if it weren't for the volunteers who make North Star happen.

By being involved in one of our many volunteer areas, you'll make a difference in others' lives, as well as making a difference in your own life by building relationships and growing spiritually. So what are you waiting for? There's a place for you!
